The 2019 Nissan Versa Note shares a name and a lot of other components with the Versa sedan, but it's the hatchback version with a little more interior space, cargo space, and versatility. Just like its sedan counterpart, the Versa Note is one of the more affordable vehicles on the market and has excellent fuel economy, which makes it a prime choice for shoppers on a budget that are looking for a daily-driver.
What's New for 2019
After getting a few new features late in 2018, the 2019 model year only sees the SV and SR trims get available NissanConnect. The system brings Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, SiriusXM, and remote services.
Choosing Your Nissan Versa Note
Regardless of what trim you go with, the only engine available for the Versa Note is a 1.6-liter four-cylinder that produces 109 horsepower and 107 pound-feet of torque. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) is the only gearbox that's offered. And, in keeping with the simplicity of everything, front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive isn't offered.
With its compact size and small engine, the Versa Note gets impressive fuel economy. The subcompact vehicle is rated by the EPA to get up to 31 miles per gallon city, 39 mpg highway, and 34 combined.
Because of the hatchback design, the Versa Note offers passengers with an impressive amount of space on the inside for its small stature. The vehicle has 94.2 cubic feet of passenger volume, and 18.8 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats in place and 38.3 cubes with them folded down.
Nissan offers the Versa Note in three trims:
While the S trim has the most attractive price tag, its lack of features makes the SV trim the sweet spot in the 2019 Nissan Versa Note lineup. With the available SV Special Edition Package, you can get a lot of the same features that are found in the range-topping SR without the faux sporty components.
