May new car deals continue to feature attractive cashback and finance incentives on popular cars and trucks. Discounts have ramped up ahead of the Memorial Day holiday with special promotions like 20% off MSRP and up to $10,000 factory cash.

It’s also an excellent time to take advantage of special offers on vehicles that are being replaced, such as the Mazda CX-5 and Acura TLX. In some cases, manufacturers are using unadvertised discounts that can save you serious money. But you’ll need to know where to look.

Here you’ll find the best deals this month on crossovers & SUVs, cars, trucks, minivans and sporty cars. We’ve listed top-ranked offers factoring rebates, finance incentives plus discounts for coming from a competitor.

You don’t have to go searching for the best deal. We’ve already done the work for you. Just use the links to the right to navigate.

Offers assume a Southern California location.

Best Crossover & SUV Deals This Month

Ford Escape
  • Best Deal: $4,000 cashback
  • MSRP: From $24,645
  • Passenger Capacity: Up to 5
  • MPG (City/Hwy): Up to 23/30
  • Expires: June 21, 2017

The Ford Escape continues to feature a massive $4,000 cash incentive, making it one of the best deals on a small SUV. With an aggressive dealer discount, we think it’s reasonable to expect to see real-world prices in the low $20,000 range.

Finance offers are considerably less attractive at 0% APR for 60 months or 1.9% for 72. However, with Memorial Day on the way, we think better offers are in store. Right before holidays, Ford typically offers a $1,000 trade-in assistance bonus here in California. Get your custom quote »

Mazda CX-5
  • Best Deal: $2,000 cashback
  • MSRP: From $24,495
  • Passenger Capacity: Up to 5
  • MPG (City/Hwy): Up to 26/34
  • Expires: May 31, 2017

The CX-5 was completely redesigned for 2017, but dealers still have a ton of leftover 2016 inventory. Deep discounts aren’t common, so this month’s $2,000 cash incentive should really get your attention.

Alternatively, you can choose to finance at 0% APR for 60 months. We think shoppers may benefit more from taking the cash and securing a low rate separately. If you’re looking to buy a highly-rated vehicle at a steep discount, now’s the time to buy.

Note: You may be wondering why dealers are calling it a “2016.5” model. That’s because Mazda made mid-year changes to add a touchscreen audio system and backup camera on the CX-5 Sport as well as navigation on the Touring model. Get your custom quote »

Volvo XC60
  • Best Deal: Up to $4,550 cashback
  • MSRP: From $41,945
  • Passenger Capacity: Up to 5
  • MPG (City/Hwy): Up to 23/31
  • Expires: May 31, 2017

Volvo has ramped up discounts on the XC60 now that a big 2018 redesign is set to arrive this fall. You can now get a $3,550 Allowance on all versions of the well-equipped luxury crossover. But that’s not all.

Volvo customers are eligible for a $1,000 loyalty bonus when purchasing the XC60. That’s $4,550 in potential savings — the most we’ve seen to date.

Finance rates are dismal, however. Last month’s 0% offer for 60 months has been replaced by 2.49% APR. Prefer to lease? There’s a new Sign & Drive offer starting at $385 with $0 due at signing that ranks as the best lease on a luxury SUV. Get your custom quote »

Best Car Deals This Month

Chevy Malibu
  • Best Deal: 20% off MSRP
  • MSRP: From $24,100
  • Passenger Capacity: Up to 5
  • MPG (City/ Hwy): 27/36
  • Expires: May 31, 2017

GM is going big with a 20% discount on Malibus ahead of Memorial Day. On a well-equipped Premier model, that equates to as much as $6,370 in potential savings.

The popular Malibu LT is eligible for $5,200 off MSRP. However, there’s a caveat— although the 20% offer lasts till the end of the month, the LT will no longer qualify after May 15. Get your custom quote »

Hyundai Sonata
  • Best Deal: Up to $6,750 cashback
  • MSRP: From $22,785
  • Passenger Capacity: Up to 5
  • MPG (City/Hwy): Up to 28/36
  • Expires: May 31, 2017

Last month’s stellar offers on the 2017 Sonata continue unchanged. Limited and 2.0T models feature a whopping $6,000 bonus. Eco and Sport versions get $4,000, while the entry-level SE gets $3,350. You can save an extra $750 by financing at non-promotional rates.

Altogether, that’s up to $6,750 in available savings on well-equipped models. That’s the most we’ve ever seen on this model. With dealer discounts, we think it’s possible to see prices on a nearly $28,000 Limited dip as low as $20,000. Get your custom quote »

Acura TLX
  • Best Deal: 0.9% APR+ Unadvertised savings
  • MSRP: From $32,950
  • Passenger Capacity: Up to 5
  • MPG (City/Hwy): Up to 24/35
  • Expires: July 5, 2017

Acura is giving dealers thousands in unadvertised dealer cash incentives to clear the way for the upcoming 2018 TLX. The potential for huge discounts is extremely high. To top it off, well-qualified buyers may be eligible for 0.9% APR for 60 months.

That said, Acura is offering the best incentives on the V6. As a result, the difference in price next to the cheaper 4-cylinder has been reduced considerably. Be sure to shop multiple dealers in order to identify the most aggressive pricing in your area. Get your custom quote »

With up to 12,314 lbs of towing capacity, the diesel offers impressive capability between traditional light duty and heavy duty trucks. To get the $10,000 discount, be sure to consider the XD since the regular Titan isn’t eligible. Get your custom quote »

Offers on the Pacifica continue to be extremely aggressive here in California. You can get up to $4,500 factory cash when stacking various offers.

First, there’s a $1,000 rebate plus $1,000 bonus cash. However, there’s an additional $500 finance bonus you can get for taking out a loan at non-promotional rates.

If you’re currently leasing a competitor, you may also be eligible for a $1,000 conquest bonus. In California, there’s even a $1,000 bonus for anyone with a Honda, Kia, Toyota or Volkswagen vehicle. Get your custom quote »
