The expressively styled six-cylinder 640i coupe and convertible make perfect sense for buyers who might be drawn to a 6-Series luxury sedan, but neither need nor want four doors. Essentially full-size in dimensions, the two-door 6-Series is a relatively heavy automobile. Even so, enthusiastic engine response and gratifying handling talents make any 640i seem like a smaller model.
