Model Preview
In 2022, the Audi S3 underwent a full redesign. As with most Audi redesigns, its design was more evolutionary. However, what was under the skin went through more significant changes, including a fully revised interior with new technology, and more. With its redesign just a few years old, it's no surprise the 2024 Audi S3 will receive only mild updates and remain mostly a carryover.
On the outside, the 2024 Audi S3 will continue with the same looks it had since the 2022 overhaul. Much like the outside, the 2024 S3's interior will remain visually unchanged from the previous model year. If you review all the various packages for the 2024 S3, you'll come across a few minor updates, starting with the new rearview-mirror-integrated Homelink system as a part of the Convenience package. It also gets newly standard Carbon atlas structure inlay in place of the Aluminum spectrum inlay. Finally, Fine Nappa leather seats are a standalone option in the Premium Plus and Prestige trim levels.
Under its hood, the 2024 Audi S3 will continue with the same 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This power plant will push 306 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque through a seven-speed S tronic transmission and out to all four wheels via quattro all-wheel drive. Reaching 60 mph will take 4.5 seconds.
While the Audi S3 did not go through IIHS testing, the A3, which is a virtual carbon copy structurally, did. The 2023 Audi A3 was an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ -- the institute's highest honor -- thanks to "Good" crash test ratings across the board, "Superior"-rated vehicle-to-vehicle front-crash prevention, and "Advanced" rated vehicle-to-pedestrian front-collision avoidance. The IIHS has since updated its side crash tests, and many models have seen this drag down their ratings. Stay tuned for official IIHS ratings on the 2024 A3.
