While there are plenty of compact crossovers on the market, the Nissan Rogue stands out due its sexy styling, snappy performance, and available safety features. The Rogue is available in five- and seven-passenger configurations, making it one of the more flexible crossovers available.
What's New for 2017
The Rogue receives a significant refresh this year. The exterior has been updated with a new front fascia that includes integrated fog lamps, Nissan's signature V-Motion grille, revised headlights, and LED running lights. The rear receives a new bumper and lighting. Inside, the Rogue has a new D-shaped steering wheel, enhanced trim, more comfort options, and an updated infotainment system.
Choosing Your Nissan Rogue
The Nissan Rogue comes standard with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that puts out 170 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque while achieving 33 MPG out on the highway.
While front-wheel drive is standard, all-wheel drive is available fora very reasonable $1,350. The available third row, which is rare in this category, increases the seating capacity to seven, although the back row is probably best reserved for children.
The Rogue is available in three trim levels, and optional packages vary by trim.

There is only a $1,420 difference between the S and the SV, so it makes little sense to buy the base Rouge. If you are looking for a little more luxury, upgrade to the SL and add the Platinum package, which is smart buy considering everything you get.
