The Lincoln MKZ is one of the cars tasked with transforming the old luxury brand into something more modern and appealing to younger buyers. Based on the strong package that is the Ford Fusion, the Lincoln MKZ packs a lot of technology with ambitious styling in its attempt to shake off any image of the Lincoln of long ago.
What's New for 2015
For 2015, the MKZ gets an available connectivity package through the MyLincolnMobile app, with an embedded 3G connection. There are also four new colors.
Choosing Your Lincoln MKZ
The MKZ comes in two gasoline versions (a hybrid is covered in a separate overview), a standard 2-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder with 240 horsepower and an available 3.7-liter V6 with 300 horsepower. Front-wheel drive is standard. All get a six-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive costs roughly $1,900 extra with either engine. From there, you have three trim level/equipment groups to choose from.
Consider the V6, because that's the MKZ's main trump card over the Ford Fusion on which it's based. Reserve gets pricey, but Select gives you plenty of access to technology and luxury features. Whichever MKZ you choose, however, get the spectacular glass roof option.
