There's a lot of interest in the Honda Accord Hybrid, and we'll bet EPA ratings of 50 mpg city and 45 mpg highway have something to do with it. The midsize sedan earns this efficiency by pairing a 2-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
Another attractive feature is a starting price under $30,000 -- still substantially more expensive than an equivalent Accord with a conventional gas engine, but over $10,000 less than an Accord Plug-In.
The Accord Hybrid comes in three trim levels. The base model is well-equipped, with standard features like dual-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth, smartphone integration for streaming media, and a 10-way power driver's seat. The EX-L adds leather upholstery, heated front seats, a cloud-based media and connectivity system, and a moonroof. The top-tier Touring has navigation with traffic, LED headlights and adaptive cruise control.
