The third-generation MDX is a midsize definition of family luxury for the Acura brand. The seven-passenger vehicle uses a 3.5-liter engine that produces 290 horsepower, and is offered in both two-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The two-wheel drive has earned an EPA rating 20 mpg city and 28 mpg highway. Acura’s super-handling all-wheel drive system is also available on all models, but drops EPA ratings to 18 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.
What's New for 2014
It’s a whole new MDX from top to bottom, from a new platform to a new 3.5-liter engine.
Choosing Your Acura MDX
Standard features includes LED headlights, keyless access with push button start, sliding second-row seating, eight-inch touchscreen, expanded drivers view mirror, a 432-watt Acura sound system, and an acoustic glass front windows and windshield.
Base prices range from $42,290 for a front-wheel drive MDX in base trim to $56,505 for a fully-loaded all-wheel drive variant. Aside from all-wheel drive, which you should only choose if you need it, we recommend buying as much MDX as your budget allows.
The third row is a bit of a squeeze for full-size adults who are seeking leg room.
